some weeks ago I was invited from my special friend Whenina to join her in an exhibition/little market of handmade and d-i-y -ish productions.
I had very little time to prepare myself so I just took what I was working on lately that means basically different types of scarves and neck-scarves and my new accesory-obsession: sweater chains.
this is a picture I took of my little spot
it was a bit all grey atmosphere mh? it is unfortunately a reflection of my mood during this past period..I've definitely to do something to cheer it up!
I will post very soon better and more detailed pictures (these are pretty ugly!)
sweater chains with vintage buttons
let's skip to the part in wich I present you the latest entries in WhenaWorld. First of all I've been knowing her now for some years and I can tell how amazing she is in developing new handmade skills in such a short time! when we start something together I'm the one who need structure and theory at the beginning and in the meantime she skip the theory part and is already trying to do something practical.. and the good thing is that she generally manages to do a wondeful job!
starting from drawing and comics, she moved quickly in the handmade area giving birth to a great collection of charachters from her stories.
now she decided to give a try to crochet with unbelievable results
how sweet?
I've to admit that the most amazing thing I've discovered in her spot were the "Raccattati" (translated from dialect to italian and then to english it could be something like picked up), a collection of high personalities made by remnants of fabric she didn't know how to use. if the ecothinking/artistic state of mind wasn't enough she also had the idea of attached the arms and legs of the characters with buttons to the body so they'll be able to be exchaged one with the other;) finally she realized some spare parts (such as one pink furry tail!) to add, depending on the taste.
elvis-I love him-
