some weeks ago I was invited from my special friend Whenina to join her in an exhibition/little market of handmade and d-i-y -ish productions.
I had very little time to prepare myself so I just took what I was working on lately that means basically different types of scarves and neck-scarves and my new accesory-obsession: sweater chains.
this is a picture I took of my little spot

it was a bit all grey atmosphere mh? it is unfortunately a reflection of my mood during this past period..I've definitely to do something to cheer it up!
I will post very soon better and more detailed pictures (these are pretty ugly!)

let's skip to the part in wich I present you the latest entries in WhenaWorld. First of all I've been knowing her now for some years and I can tell how amazing she is in developing new handmade skills in such a short time! when we start something together I'm the one who need structure and theory at the beginning and in the meantime she skip the theory part and is already trying to do something practical.. and the good thing is that she generally manages to do a wondeful job!

starting from drawing and comics, she moved quickly in the handmade area giving birth to a great collection of charachters from her stories.
now she decided to give a try to crochet with unbelievable results

how sweet?
I've to admit that the most amazing thing I've discovered in her spot were the "Raccattati" (translated from dialect to italian and then to english it could be something like picked up), a collection of high personalities made by remnants of fabric she didn't know how to use. if the ecothinking/artistic state of mind wasn't enough she also had the idea of attached the arms and legs of the characters with buttons to the body so they'll be able to be exchaged one with the other;) finally she realized some spare parts (such as one pink furry tail!) to add, depending on the taste.

during my adventure here in pluriball I've often asked myself:why don't you post some of your outfits just like everyone else on the web? maybe someone could be interested in your style or in some of your accessories and you can exchange ideas and infos..
yes, it could be the case.
the thing is I'm not very good in modeling, most of the time I'm not satisfied of how things turn out when I make selfportraits so I'm always waiting for a pro-photographer to follow me in my routine and take millions of pictures about me and my personal life, but it doesn't seem it could be a real scenario anytime soon.
so I generally decide to take pictures of the things I like on my kitchen table or just on the floor. it just seem to be nicer.
Another solution is the one Gemma Correll presents in one of her gorgeous flickr sets: what I wore today in drawings.
I've discovered her talent in an exhibition in Antwerp this summer and she totally traped me in her sweet and sarcastic style.

I'm not good speaking about tragedies.. I only want to say that when I've first looked at this collection (and the second time, and the third, and..) I'd never thought it could be his last.

I've also loved his pieces from Milan some weeks ago..

go on and say it

so yesterday I've attended my first catwalk ever. it was not the experience I've dreamed about so long but it was doubtless an experience.
I've learned something about the concept of sobriety.
thinking about a runaway show always made me imagine an elitè of damned elegant people, dresses of the latest collections, chic and charme everywhere. I've been slightly disappointed realizing the nowadays well-known fact that in Rome usually the things are different. even an hairdresser appointment the day before the show seem to be too much to ask around here. the worst thing I've seen around was this pair of gorgeous black heel -sorry I was not able to take a picture- wore with ugly grey and pretty old legwarmers that covered more of the half of the shoe. sometimes I think people can't really understand the difference between an "outfit" and a "bad outfit". not everything that reward you with a flash is a good picture in the end. I don't know if I'm making my point. what I do know is that I'd rather be listening to incomprehensible japanese conversations on the radio than been forced to look at that ugliness.

I'll post pictures of the three dresses I've liked as soon as I manage to extract them from a video I made.
good night!
