winter virtual shopping-top 3
tonight I'm feeling like my home is the only place on earth I would like to be. outside it is definitely too cold, I'm so tired for the huge work today (is Christmas time in case anyone hasn't noticed..)so I've decided to stay home, next to the couch there is a little (..) piece of Sacher torte:)
I'm doing virtual shopping, that means going back to the millions magazines' scraps from the last days. it works that way:
*I choose the items I MUST have this winter.
*I find them through my magazines' scraps (I've tons of folders...)
*I google them and choose the pictures and designs I love the most
*I made a list (another one) feeling like I have definitely cleared my mind so next time I go to shopping I would not waste my time looking around me and I'll go straight to my objectives.
isn't that fun? I know..I'm kinda crazy..
stasera mi sento come se casa mia fosse l'unico posto sulla terra dove mi piacerebbe essere. fuori è decisamente troppo freddo e io sono troppo stanca dal lavoro di oggi (è periodo natalizio nel caso qualcuno non l'avesse notato..). quindi ho deciso di restarmene a casa accanto al divano c'è una piccola fetta di sacher torte :)
sto facendo shopping viruale che significa prendere i mille ritagli delle riviste che ho accomulato negli ultimi giorni. funziona così:
* scelgo i pezzi che DEVO avere questo inverno.
*li trovo tra i ritagli delle riviste (ho tantissime cartelline..)
*li cerco su google e scelgo le foto e le brands che mi piacciono di più
*faccio una lista (un'altra) con la sensazione che mi sono sicuramente chiarita le idee e la prossima volta che farò shopping non sprecherò il mio tempo a guardarmi intorno ma andrò direttamente incontro ai miei obiettivi.
non è divertente? lo so..sono un pò pazza..

una delle cose che mi piacciono di più -e mi stressano di più contemporaneamente- del grande contenitore che è la "MODA" per me è la questione che ogni volta che credo di avere tutto sotto controllo arriva all'improvviso qualcosa -o qualcuno- di assolutamente sorprendente e -fino a questo istante- completamente sconosciuto. almeno per me.
oggi è il turno di Juanjo Oliva.
direttamente dalle passerelle di Madrid ho trovato questo talentuoso designer grazie a un suo accattivante vestito che avevo ritagliato da un giornale dopo che mi aveva strizzato l'occhiolino..l'incriminato abito è questo:
one of the things I like the most -and that scares me the most at the same time- about the "fashion" issue as I like to name it, is the fact that everytime I dare thinking I've all under control suddenly appears something -or someone- absolutely surprising and -until this exact moment- unknown. at least for me.
today is Juanjo Oliva's turn.
directly from Madrid's catwalks I've discovered this talented designer thanks to one of his captivating garments that I had cut out of the paper after it winked me..the charged garment is the following one:

Juanjo Oliva ha presentato la sua prima collezione nel 2004-2005 dopo aver terminato un corso di diploma allo Iade(Madrid) e un corso di disegno di moda alla Parsons di N.Y.
ha cominciato la sua carriera come disegnatore ed illustratore di moda e ha aperto il suo primo negozio a Madrid verso la fine degli anni novanta.
questi sono alcuni dei miei preferiti tra gli abiti che ha realizzato nel corso degli anni.
Juanjo Oliva had realized collections starting in 2004-2005 after attending the fashion degree course at Iade(Madrid) and a fashion illustration course at Parsons in N.Y.
He had a starting carrer as designer and fashion illustrator and he also opened his first store in Madrid during the end of the 1990's.

today's pick.
I don't do designers presentations or "the editor's pick" so often here in PLURIBALL 'cause I'm usually try to express more my point of view, my process of creations -if possible to say that!-, including inspirations sources or just nonsense things I fall in love with as often as I breath.. it doesn't mean I've not my eyes wide open everysecond of the day looking for the amazing designers you can read about or see works in internet or events or wherever. today I would like to present something I just found out, what I think is a very creative point of view.
since is really cold outside I went discovering winter pieces without even realize that.
di solito non faccio spesso qui presentazioni di designer del tipo "scelta dell'editore", percè cerco più che altro di presentare il mio punto di vista, il processo di creazione -se si può dire- che seguo, tra cui le mie fonti di ispirazione o semplicemente cose senza senso di cui mi innamoro almeno tanto spesso quanto respiro..non vuol dire però che non stia con gli occhi ben aperti ogni secondo del giorno per scovare tutti i possibili incredibili designers di cui si può leggere o vedere in internet o negli eventi o ovunque. oggi vorrei presentare qualcosa che ho appena scoperto, che credo rappresenti un punto di vista molto creativo.

camilla wellton is a swedish designer. she is a polyhedric artist as she studied a lot of different things in her life until now and for that, I think, se has an approach to fashion that is really original and inspirational. she is able to realize different shapes in her garments, combining various elements: the discreet elegance of the figure, the rational geometry, the minimalist choice of colours and the artisan, made-to-measure, skill behind all that. she is also very eco-friendly not only for the use of organic fabrics but also because she gives part of her profit to a Swedish organization promoting agroforestry and the planting of new trees.
she wants her ideal woman to feel chic and comfortable at the same time and, if this goal wasn't enough, she also wants to provide that with a high quality of the garment itself.
I think these coats are gorgeous. tres chic, with a beautiful, harmonic figure, a very original shape and a little drop of melancholic atmosphere I love to see in a "winter" piece.
camilla welton è una designer svedese. è un'artista poliedrica visto che ha studiato tantissime cose diverse nella sua vita fin'ora, e per questo credo il suo approccio alla mod è molto originale e di grande inspirazione. è capace di realizzare diverse forse nei suoi abiti, combinando tanti elementi: la discreta eleganza della figura, la geometria razionale, la scelta dei colori minimale e l'artiginale e su misura capacità che cè dietro. è anche molto eco-friendly, non solo per la scelta di stoffe organiche ma anche perchè devolve parte del ricavato a una organizzazione svedese che si occupa di forestazione e di piantare nuovi alberi.
lei vuole che la sua donna ideale si senta chic ma comoda allo stesso tempo e, se questo scopo non fosse abbastanza, vuole riuscire a fare ciò mantenendo un'alta qualità dell'abito in sè stesso.
trovo che questi cappotti siano incredibili. tres chic, con una bellissima figura armonica, una forma molto originale e un tocco di malinconicità che adoro vedere in vestiti "invernali".

andrea crews.
At some point during my endless mousing activity around internet world I discovered this great project called andrea crews. the first thing that attracted me was that they're from Paris. I mean obviously everything concerning fashion it makes everyone think about Paris first-and then the world. But in some strange ways when I saw A.Crews' fashion activism I was really surprised. they immediately made me believe, just by wathcing their work, into the real dinamicity of their creations. it's not a set up.
and I'm deeply ashamed of me being surprised, because I'm awared that in our ancient continent live millions and trillions of great, young and deeply creative artists..I didn't want to un-cherish that. it is probably a self destructive thought caused by the crisis air I've got to inhale everyday with the smog.
ANYWAY. I'm going off topic.
I'm here to describe you the work of this parisien collective of stylists, illustrators, musicians, video directors and performers led by Maroussia Rebecq. it is clear how working in the borderline of art and fashion give to these creative group of people the will and capacity of express freedom and indipendence mixed with a little bit of crazyness.
they realize unique pieces of clothes and accessories (such as limited editions t-shirts in collaboration with various artists), starting with re-modeling old and second-hand stuff up to reinvent the concept of some classics piece of clothing, aiming to create everytime an unusual and surprising result. they also are involved with activities concerning for example recycling.
ad un certo punto durante la mia incessante attività di mousing in mezzo al mondo di internet, ho scoperto questo fantastico progetto che è di andrea crews.
la prima cosa che mi ha attratta è che erano di Parigi. chiaramente so che è ovvio che qualsiasi cosa riguardante la moda faccia venire in mente a chiuque prima Parigi e poi il mondo. ma in qualche strano modo quando ho visto l'attivismo di A. Crews sono rimasta di stucco. mi hanno immediatamente convinta, solo guardando il loro lavoro, della reale dinamicità delle loro creazione. non è tutta finzione.
mi sono assolutamente vergognata di questo mio rimanere sorpresa, perchè so benissimo che nel nostro vecchio continente vivono milioni e trilioni di grandissimi, giovani e profondamente creativi artisti ..non volevo non ringraziare per questo.
probabilmente è stato solo un pensiero autodistruttivo causato dall'aria di crisi che sono costretta a respirare con lo smog ogni giorno.
COMUNQUE. sto andando fuori tema.
vorrei qui descrivere il lavoro di questo collettivo parigino di stilisti, illustratori, musicisti, direttori di video e performers guidati da Maroussia Rebecq.
è chiaro che lavorare nella linea di confine tra moda e arte dà a questo creativo gruppo di persona la voglia e la capacità di esprimere libertà e indipendenza mista a un pò di follia.
realizzano pezzi unici di vestiario e accessori (come le edizioni limitate di t-shirts in collaborazione con diversi artisti), a partire dal rimodellamento di roba usata e di seconda mano fino a reinventare il concetto di alcuni classici pezzi di vestiario, allo scopo di creare ogni volta un risultato sorprendente e non usuale. sono anche coinvolti con alcune attività come l'eco-riciclaggio.
